BEST TIME TO GO

Best Time: June to October
The dry season provides optimal conditions for wildlife viewing, as animals gather around water sources in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Visibility is excellent, and temperatures remain pleasant. Zanzibar enjoys warm, sunny days with calm seas, making it ideal for a seamless safari-to-beach experience.

Good Time: November to March
The short rains (November–December) bring lush green landscapes and fewer crowds, making for a more intimate safari. January to March offers exceptional game viewing, especially in the Serengeti, where the calving season attracts predators. Zanzibar remains a paradise with occasional short showers that rarely disrupt beach activities.

Mixed: April and May
The long rains create dramatic skies and fewer tourists, offering a more peaceful experience. While some safari lodges close due to wet conditions, those that remain open provide excellent game viewing at reduced rates. Zanzibar is quieter, with lush scenery, though heavier rains can occur.
